The newest Mayfield manufacturing facility in Braselton, Georgia produces whole, 2%, skim, chocolate and other best-selling milk products.  When the plant opened, it was built upon 75 years of Mayfield experience using the highest quality manufacturing and testing equipment.  The 70,000 square-foot facility, situated on 20 acres, was built for the future to be easily expanded as Mayfield continues to grow.  The plant has more than doubled its production from 60,000 gallons to 150,000 gallons of milk daily.

From dairy farms around the Braselton region, 20 tanker trucks arrive at the plant each day, delivering the select, unprocessed milk that is manufactured and distributed to Atlanta, Marietta, and northern Georgia, as well as Greeneville, South Carolina. Less than an hour from Atlanta, this ideal geographic location provides easy market access from the I-85 Corridor.

This Mayfield facility is also a welcoming environment for families who come to the Braselton area and the neighboring Chateau Élan Resort which has become a growing vacation destination for half a million visitors each year.  Surrounded by a big, gracious front porch, the gift shop and ice cream parlor offer a taste of the Mayfield experience that may be followed by a tour. Visitors can get the inside scoop on the quality of dairy products and how the famous yellow Mayfield jugs are made.

At each step of the production, testing and distribution process, Braselton’s employees maintain the highest standards to ensure the Mayfield reputation that has won customer loyalty as one of the top brands in the nation.
