Strawberry Salad

2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry Jell-O
2 c fresh strawberries, rinsed and trimmed
   -- OR --
1 lb frozen strawberries, thawed & drained
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
8 oz. Mayfield sour cream, stirred smooth
2 c boiling water
3 bananas, mashed
 

Serves: 9

Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, stirring. Remove from heat and let cool. Add strawberries, bananas and pineapple. Pour half of mixture (about 2 c.) into 9 X 9” dish and chill until congealed (approx. 2 hours). Remove chilled mixture from refrigerator and carefully spread sour cream over top. Cover sour cream layer with remaining half of strawberry mixture. Chill until firm. Cut into squares to serve.
